Job Description
The Salesforce.com developer role will manage Salesforce.com custom development for Capital
One, B2B Acquisitions & Customer Development team. This role will execute
complex custom SFDC configuration changes and will proactively monitor the
system configuration and controls.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate
must have a proven background Salesforce.com
development, including Apex, workflow and Visual Force
- Should
be able to develop and configure Visualforce, AppExchanges, Force.com and integrate into 3rd party
solutions. 3rd Party Application Integration experience is
required
- Design/
implement database enhancements including; custom objects, custom fields,
custom formulas, validation rules, approval processes, record types and
custom workflows
- Ability
to design, code, test, debug, package and deploy quality, scalable and
well documented solutions on the Salesforce platform. Experience working
on full Salesforce life cycle implementation
- Maintain
a holistic view of all business processes of different teams and users in
the system to understand cross functional impacts of new custom
development with regard to configuration, process, workflow and reporting
- Successfully
document / maintain documentation on application code, application use and
flow
- Strong
understanding of relational databases with ability to do data modelling to
meet the business needs
- Candidates
with Salesforce.com developer
certification preferred
- Candidate
will also help with Salesforce Administration tasks as needed
- Maintain
security settings, access settings etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy,
Sharing Rules and Security)
- Perform
data integrity and manipulation tasks such as merging duplicate records
and establishing proper ownership of existing accounts and contacts in
accordance with sales territories using data loader
- Design
complex dashboards
- Research
changes in upcoming versions of salesforce.com
and other integrated applications; provide recommendations when necessary
to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Manage
special projects as assigned
- Successfully
manage multiple concurrent projects
- Effective
verbal and written communication skills and strong work ethic
Education
& Experience:
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Information Systems
- Hands
on, 3-5 year’s experience with APEX and Visual Force development
- Use
of Salesforce APIs (via java, etc.) to integrate Salesforce with other
tools.
- Experience
with Force.com migration tool desired.
- 3+
years of experience with technical implementation, day-to-day operations,
and long term maintenance of Salesforce.
- Must
be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work
situations.
- Ability
to work independently and engage supervisor as needed.
